....................!!!!!!!!!! Continued Part 2

The next set of coincidence came when Ruhan joined a salsa class. To his astonishment he found nikita present there as well. The first thought which crossed Ruhan mind was to swap partners and to be a partner of Nikita. As filmy it could be, the trainer intervene and found Nikita and Ruhan would look good together (in the final performance) due to their complementary heights. Ruhan for the first time in his life was happy about his short height.

Salsa proved to be a big bang in their relationship. Now they were more than good friends. Both started liking each others company and spent most of the time together and more than anything respect each other. For everything it was discussed between them before coming to any decision or action.

It was now a year long relationship they were now seen as a couple by every one in the group. Though there was no formal proposal by either of them but both of them knew. As with closeness came names for each other, Ruhan was named “dugga” and nikita “duggu” by each other.

By the time dugga was completing his third year of engineering, duggu was about to finish her graduation. For duggu, with the graduation degree there was another thing which was standing on the doorstep. It was the pressure of marriage from her family. Both of them discussed about the problem before but could not find anything near to solution.
But now the storm wasn’t far. Duggu parents have already found two or more prospects for her and now it was inevitable for her to talk to Ruhan. She explained everything to Ruhan and asked for his take. Ruhan repeated the same which he told before that he would only think about marriage once he would have a nice job and probably would take this step only after his first promotion. Though she understood and considered him right but she didn’t have options. For the first time in 18 months they had a huge fight.
“ You don’t have choice to choose your boss , but you always do have a choice to choose your friends and more importantly your life partner”

Next few days were terrible for both of them. Nikita wanted Ruhan to talk to his family and she would in turn talk to her family and then they could find a solution. Ruhan on the other hand was fearful of the fact that he hadn’t even completed his engineering and the relationship would not be accepted anyhow by his family. Moreover he wasn’t in the position of confronting them. Both have their own limitations and their own way of explaining each other.

Now it was only one point of discussion on the calls and there were tears all over the call. After 3 weeks of indecisive discussions it was the day when both of them didn’t uttered a word. There was just silence all over and it was a probable end to their so called love story.

For the next 2-3 weeks none of them talked and on a Sunday morning Ruhan found himself at the epicenter of earthquake. He received a message from nikita about her engagement. He also received the card of her marriage which predictably he never attended.
For Both of them it was an end to Dugga- Duggu saga ….

Today - Bangalore
Ruhan was shocked to see that name again on his mobile. He has lost that person in the memories which in turn were now covered with mist. He was unsure why is she calling him today when a thought gave him shock of his life . He was promoted today for the first time in his life…... but how???? ##### %%%%%…………..By the time he would get over with these crossing thoughts, he had already missed that call….
Why did she called him today , would he call back is unknown , but what is known is, it’s the game which fate plays with each of us in some or the other way ….

PS : Don’t ask me about the how about of that call …and yes I could not find a suitable title for the same , so guys pls help…..

………………………….!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Part -1

Bangalore – 1st may 09

Ruhan was sitting in his comfortable bedroom thinking about the good days ahead ( after all ,he has been promoted today ) when suddenly a call gave a jerk to his thinking process. He was shocked to see the flashing name on the mobile. It was duggu….
Two years ago , the same characters Ruhan and duggu disconnected a call after long silence of some 3000 odd seconds , a call which was never repeated in the times ahead till the day today…..

Delhi - 3 years ago…

Ruhan , a fun guy from a middle class family from chandigarh was doing his engineering from a reputed college in Delhi . He was a guy with average brains but a sky high zeal to be successful and achieve his goals. He was a mechie and though mechanical is termed to be an evergreen branch but the experience shows it always lacks the lusture in terms of girls. Ruhan , being the kind of person he was always resisted a change .. he was single ,happy within his small group just partying around , watching movies. But as fate says this was about to change.
In second year of engineering, Ruhan accompanied prateek in one of the Delhi university festivals. Prateek , Ruhan’s batch mate was a delhite and hence had a nack of getting entry to such events . Ruhan met a lot of prateek friend there and was moving out of his limited space for the first time. He gelled with them quite well and did like few of them who found a way to his orkut list the following day . Out of the lot he specifically enquired about a girl named nikita from prateek . Nikita as it turned out to be was prateek’s school mate. she was slim , short and beautiful and kept quite most of the time during that festival . He portrayed her as a shy girl and was impressed from her simplicity.
What happened next was an array of true coincidences. Ruhan found Nikita traveling in the same bus with which he commutes from college to his hostel. He did not made an attempt to talk out of the fear of unrecognition. But nikita didn’t had any such fear and she entered into a brief talk with him. Both talked about their background etc. The only thing which Ruhan brought out was that she was pursuing her graduation from south campus but more importantly travels in the same bus frequently. They started meeting each other frequently in the bus and it was commendable on Ruhan’s part as how he was able to keep his adjacent seat vacant until she boards the bus.

“First impression is the last impression”
Quotes are only to be quoted. Most of the time they don’t find a place in real life .

Same was the case here , Now that both were friends Ruhan understood that by no means nikita is shy and quite .. She was infact a complete chatter box quite intelligent and had a view on every second thing. The bus meetings carried over for 2 weeks after which Nikita had an autumn break.

“ I have always been interested to know when and how does students in DU complete their course… They have a break for all the seasons (summers , winters as well as Autumn ) and when they do attend college it is either for elections, parties or exams”

World is small !!!!!!!

The Wait continues…..( The world is so small )…….

Good Morning …. Its 7.30 am and I am sitting at window seat no J70 A of the same train….Moreover the wait continues, obviously not for the train but for reaching home as soon as possible ….my current location is somewhere 5o Kms before KOTA and by this estimation I would reach Delhi only by 2 PM , now 5 and a half hrs late of scheduled time …..
So the thought of writing something has already popped up but a direction is still to be decided….Ok , let me pen down a story , an instance which does not have much of an impact but made me believe that subconscious thinking does have a impact in your life ….

During my engineering I underwent my summer Training @ Indian Airlines ….For the same I was sitting in company’s bus lost in thoughts for the day ahead when suddenly a voice broke my thoughts …….Hi …is this nitin maheshwari……????? I did a flash check, do I recognize the person or is it like that I am already a star and should take out a pen to give an autograph…. Whatever it was next few moments were astonishing for me …. For knowing the same let me take you to a ride, a ride back to school days alias golden days…..

The story takes you to the golden times of schooling....for your knowledge I have completed my schooling from three institutions , first a play school whose name I don’t remember anymore .Second DAV where I undergone initial days of schooling where a kid enters a whole new world trying to understand the world for the first time ..third and most important LANCERS where I spent most of my cherished moments and which helped me mold into a person what I am today ….

I don’t exactly remember at what age I entered DAV so let me do a small reverse calculation.. If I was 17 when I passed my 10th and being a good student haven’t repeated any class so by that calculation I would have joined DAV at the age of 5 ..so I grew up from 5 yrs toddler to a 9 yrs youngster in this environment ….frankly speaking I don’t remember much of the things but what I remember revolves around my class teacher , a bunch of friends and star nights which used to happen every year as a part of annual function in DAV...

Friendship is the thing which has always been a sincere emotion for me and the first seeds of this emotion were sown at a very early stage …. When I was in upper kindergarten most of us call it as UKG I came across two guys…the two “Sharmas” one named Pankaj and other Deepak…..i helped pankaj with his maths homework and hence our friendhip developed …..Pankaj and deepak were friends and hence from twosome it was now developed into three some with me as the final addition …..So I had my first friendship and my first group……

If I analyze today, Deepak was most sincere among us, a kid with few words, shy and obsessive …. Pankaj on the other hand was the mischief not only among us but a super rated gangster of the class who makes the class lively ….AS far as I am concerned I was among the favorites for my class teacher …. Hey I am not overrating myself but saying this because my class teacher cried when I left DAV.. Don’t know whether she cried out of happiness or sadness but she hugged me with tears in her eyes… so I could never forget that moment ……

Anyways in between this narration I have already crossed two states MP & Rajasthan and now I am somewhere in UP , had my breakfast and already taken a nap for an hour …..The train is crawling at a terrible speed giving me jitters that I would reach only by the evening …….

Coming back, along with these two guys I also remember another friend, our class monitor Nitika agarwal …..A good friend of mine but a complete anti to Pankaj …. Obviously any monitor would be anti to such a guy who serves to be nightmare for the role of monitoring the class….The repercussions of this anti ism were sometimes thrown at us along with pankaj … but when you are into a group itna to chalta hain ….. The only thing which I regretted at that time was not able to enter this other group because of Pankaj factor ….

So I had my first group and we gelled quite well…. We moved together from UKG to 2nd with loads of fun which we as kids could do ….Went to canteen for the first time, had that first cold drink , also learnt first gali from pankaj for which I got a beating at home…. Being of the same intellectual level me and deepak grown into friendship and started saying each other best of friends … It is also a very peculiar habit among kids wherein they want someone to be rated as best of friend ….. Pankaj slowly lost the leader tag of the group and in the time was also not doing well in studies … he failed in some exam and.. That was the time we kinda parted ways with him … I mean I don’t know was it right or wrong but as a kid you are always asked to be with kids who are best and you are often compared with them.... Obviously he didn’t liked but then at that age it is very less you can do ….

We moved to third standard with me and deepak tagged as best friends…. I did participated in annual function acting into a song “Hind desh ke niwasi” … I roled as a flower, dancing around depicting some unity ….also attended annual night where I did some aerobics stuff and also got a prize for “O” grade in studies…it was nitin mukesh who was star of night for this annual function and I remember me being happy that he shares his name with me ….

“It is so refreshing that how we used to be happy about small small things at that age and if we can learn the same art and innocence and apply in our life today It would be so much better…..”
During my third standard we moved to our new house and it was time to say goodbye to DAV and join a new school …. This was the same time when my class teacher cried and I parted from pankaj and deepak …. After this I was in touch with deepak for 1-2 years more through phone and then lost him in my memories and in some new friends which I found out in my new world of Lancers …..

So the whole reason of taking you to ,through this ride was a question which someone asked me sitting in bus , when I was lost in thoughts …… This guy came and sat on the seat beside me …. For initial 5-7 minutes we didn’t talked and then came a question from the other side …. “ is this nitin maheshwari” ….. So I replied yes ….he prompted in between and said “ I am deepak , Deepak sharma” for next few seconds I was lost in thought, did a mind check as how he knows me … I didn’t realized he said Deepak sharma and when I realized I saw him smiling …. He was the same deepak sharma , the kid with few words same as before… I yelled deepak from DAV and he nodded …..i was astonished , surprised , happy .. what not ..
I met him after 11 years and both of us discussed everything which happened in last ten years … he was also doing engineering that to mechanical same as mine …..was doing training in the same organization where I was doing and the last bullet in neck…joined the same organization ….yes he too is working with TCS….:)J As far as pankaj is concerned he left school after 6th and hence no contact with him …..

Loads of coincidences in this story and hence I started by saying that subconscious thinking does impact you .. in this case though I didn’t remember but somehow this friend was there always in my subconscious mind ….
“ Yaroon dosti badi he haseen hain …” Plays in the background …..
And I have crossed Mathura junction , the wait is still not over ……

Long Wait ......

31st January 2009, Saturday 5:00 Pm
Long Wait……
Wait is the word that most of the sensible people in this world hates.. I am no different and I have no other option other than waiting …. I am waiting for so many things to happen but specifically at this moment I am waiting for the train to delhi which I would have boarded by this time..

I am writing this chapter sitting inside the waiting room waiting for my train 2909 Garib rath express to delhi which is shocking 4 hours late from its scheduled departure.More than the wait here, the thought of reaching home late is making me restless.. But seeing a positive side, finally I found some time to write which i could not find in the last two months ….

So, for the people who have never seen a waiting hall, here comes a small description…. . Waiting Room -2 for 2nd class is what is written outside the room in bold..Again that silly Class differentiation which have ruined our society for so long and still continuing…. Though I am boarding into first class but I have chosen this room because I was unable to find a charger point in the room across….Anyways the basic difference between the two is just the sitting arrangement , here it is the steel chairs there its the Spring Sofas and hence acting as a silly class differentiator….The room is quite large and can accommodate easily somewhere around 120 people….All round are chairs lined up giving it a look of a closed arena ….To my surprise the room is quite clean and well ventilated ….Even a TV is cornered which is keeping people acquainted with India playing like hell against Sri lanka… Among others few are like me tingling with their laptops, some already taking a nap and some intellectual engrossed in reading...

Though I can only guess , most of the gentry sitting here looks familiar north Indians waiting for the same train …..Just to be sure of the train timings I initiated a talk with the guy sitting across …The guy is named Imran and going to delhi with the same train …Not to my surprise the guy is from TCS as with 22 offices of TCS and around 1lakh employee base in the city you can find TCER”S anywhere and everywhere in Mumbai…But more importantly with my ears plugged in with ipod and my concentration on writing , I have found someone whom I can see incase I miss some important announcement …. Such kinda poka yoke (fool proofing) you have to do at every stage of life….:)

Not to forget I should mention about some of the beautiful faces sitting in the room on the other side… out of the lot I am basically talking a bout a tall girl dressed in white deeply engrossed in writing just like me …. Though the difference being she is writing the traditional way using a pen and paper….
In between my noticing her came a chai wala and served tea to people sitting by my side. But to my surprise he didn’t asked me as if he already knew that I don’t drink tea….if he did analyzed that I would say the guy had a great business acumen focusing only on the potential customers….

Anyways coming back to the lady she has a beautiful smile as well sharing the same with a small kid around ….your guess is as good as mine but still I think she is some student or budding manager still engrossed with making some kinda notes….Anyways will come back to this if I found something more guessing on her identity….

By the time I was writing, India has completed its innings and Sri lanka would require 257 runs to chase.. With the kind of form India is into I can safely bet on them and would at least make it competitive with an average total…..
As always with so many speculations, a rumor in the air is that the train might move even late and now I m really hating myself for deciding to go on train and not taking a flight…. Another important observation which I can take out of this waiting room is about the mobile era .. I could find literally everyone busy in some or the other way with this revolutionary instrument… and I think its a high time to explore some business proposition around this technology apart from communication…..

There’s nothing more for me to pen down about this room and will now move to find something to eat… I would end this chapter by contradicting my previous observation about that lady in white ,Rather than a student she is a mom and can very well establish herself as a new brand ambassador for Santoor…( if u didn’t understand please revert back to story line of santoor Ads..Hehe..))
M still waiting and would now find some other way to kill time ……

Right or Wrong !!!!!!

I gaze through a window , a window of Conscience,
To a new world , a new world which is inside ...
A world which is different, different from outside ,
A world which does not race with time ....

Though the race is still on ...
But its the race between thoughts ,
one named right and one named wrong ..
It is important which you choose ,
As it defines in long Whether you win or lose...

Right shows you the path ,wrong asks you to jump it .
Right shows you the destination,Wrong greeds you heavily to surpass it..
Right ask you to lead ,the wrong asks you to deal ...
Right ask you to earn your bowl , wrong asks you to sell your soul....

Perhaps its no one to decide,
what is right and what is wrong...
but only your conscience which should reflect,
which one to reject & which one to respect.....

Who am I !!!!!!

Why is it always so ,
That theres a question ,
which i am unable to know .
That thers an answer
which i am unable to blow .

Every question has an answer
that every1 of us know ,
then why is this question
always difficult to glow

Why do i have options to choose
when i never want to lose
why do i never know
which way to leave and on which to move

why is it alws so,
This or the other?
Am I one person today and tomorrow another?
Am I both at once? A hypocrite before others...

Perhaps to answer these why
i have to search for who,
Who am I?
would definetely answer those why.....
